Happy Hour + Pirates Game

Take me out to the ballpark!  Join PUMP for happy hour on The Deck at PNC Park followed by the Pirates game!  Your $28 ticket includes happy hour from 5:30 to 7:00 (complete with all-you-can-eat nachos and popcorn, 3 beers, and cornhole) and grandstand seating to cheer on the Bucs against the Padres!  It's also Al Oliver Bobblehead night.

Nonprofit Speed Dating

Don’t miss your chance to participate in this nationally recognized event!  Nonprofit Speed Dating brings together 20 nonprofits that are looking for board members and 20 individuals who want to serve on nonprofit boards.  Each individual has 5 minutes with each nonprofit to share information.  At the end of the evening, interest forms are collected and the next day nonprofits and board candidates receive a list of their “matches.”

6:30 – 9:00 PM “Dating”

 

Location: All events will be held at Bossa Nova, 123 Seventh Street, Downtown, Pittsburgh

PUMP Wake Up Call Breakfast Briefing; Sponsored by Comcast & Chatham University

7:30 - 8:30 AM; Last Friday of every other month.  The first Wake Up Call is on February 29.

PUMP encourages a new generation of leaders to become involved in the civic and political process.  We organize educational forums, exchange information, mobilize around important issues and collaborate with community leaders to make a meaningful impact.  Beginning in 2008 on the last Friday of every other month beginning February 29th, we will be partnering with Chatham University’s PA Center for Women, Politics, and Public Policy to host Wake Up Call breakfast briefings.  PUMP members and students are invited to participate in monthly discussions with federal, state, and local elected officials about issues facing our neighborhoods and national issues that our members have deemed important.

Where: Chatham University, Laughlin Music Hall (Located behind the Chapel on the Chatham campus). Free parking is available in the library lot, enter campus from Murray Hill Avenue.  For a map, click here.

WANTED: Young People to Serve on Pittsburgh's Boards, Authorities & Commissions

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking interested young people for appointments to its Boards Authorities and Commissions (BACs)!  Mayor Ravenstahl’s office has been working with a coalition of diverse organizations to implement Fair Representation Legislation which was adopted by Pittsburgh City Council in 2005 to afford all citizens the opportunity to bring their unique perspectives and ideas to city government through service on BACs.  PUMP is part of this effort to diversify the city’s Boards Authorities & Commissions, and is committed to helping the Mayor find qualified and passionate young people to fill these vacancies.
