How To Register:
If you want a jump on things, log in to the site (top, right of any page) or create an account ahead of time.
- Click the "Sign Up" link in the schedule above. Links will become active on the day registration opens, at noon. (If you don't see a "Sign Up" link above, it's because we are not currently accepting any registrations.)
- Follow prompts, choosing your league and providing payment information, then click Submit. If paying by check, be sure to click the Pay by Check box, and you must provide your phone number in the Additional Notes/Comments field on the same payment screen. Once you receive confirmation from the league office, you'll be asked to call and provide a credit card number to hold your team's space. We will not hold your team's space without a credit card number as collateral!!
- You will receive an automated confirmation email stating that your order has been placed. This is NOT confirmation that you are in the league. The PSL staff will notify you as soon as possible as to the status of your registration.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register a team?
One person should serve as the captain and register the team. Simply choose the TEAM option when registering. If your team gets in to the league, you'll receive a confirmation email from becky@pump.org with further instructions regarding rosters, schedules and t-shirts.
How do I register by myself?
Choose the option for INDIVIDUAL. The PSL Director will attempt to find you a team. Teams are not guaranteed. If there are enough players that sign up as individuals to form a team, that team will be noted on the schedule as an "Individual Team." If teams take all available spots, the PSL Director will try to place you on one of these existing teams.
How do I register a small group of people (but not enough for a full team)?
One person can sign up 2 or more people as a small group. Choose the INDIVIDUAL or INDY option and note the number of players to be registered by updating the amount of individuals in your shopping cart. Once you've submitted registration, please email becky@pump.org with your small group roster--include player names and t-shirt sizes. Once the PSL receives your roster, we'll attempt to create a team for you by finding you an existing team or combining you with another small group and/or individuals.
Do we pay the team fee AND the individual fee?
No. If you are registering a team, the team fee is due. If you are registering by yourself or in a small group, the individual fee is due for each player.
Should I bring a check to the first game?
No. PSL umpires and officials do not work in the PSL office; facilities are rented and their employees do not work for the PSL. Additionally, with so many leagues running simultaneously, the PSL Director is not present at every game. Please mail all payments to PUMP, 425 6th Ave, Suite 1690, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Checks & money orders should be made payable to PUMP (not to PSL or Pittsburgh Sports League).
The league is marked as "sold out." Is there any way I can still register to play?
The PSL tries to fit in as many teams and players as possible, but we are limited by the number of timeslots we can get at gyms and fields. In some cases teams do drop out at the last minute, so feel free to register through the site to get on the waiting list. If enough teams/individuals add themselves to the waiting list to fill another division, the PSL will look for another facility to accomodate them.
