All leagues are co-ed unless otherwise noted. We offer men's and women's leagues for basketball only.
To have fun, be social and be active; sportsmanship is always our primary rule.
We are proud to present league champions with gift certificates to our Hometown Hot Spots.
The Relationship of PUMP & the PSL
The PSL is a PUMP Member Benefit
As such all PSL participants are required to be PUMP members. Membership lasts for a year (4 PSL seasons) and is only $5!
Did you know that the PSL is a program of the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP)?
Here is a quick outline that describes how, by participating in a PSL sport, you're making Pittsburgh the best place to live, work, and play.
What is PUMP's mission and vision?
Founded in 1996, PUMP is a membership based nonprofit with a mission to make Pittsburgh the most dynamic and diverse place by engaging, educating, and mobilizing all young people to effect change in our community. We envision a Pittsburgh where young people have an active role in advocating and caring for our City, making Pittsburgh the first choice for everyone to live, work, and play.
How does the PSL support PUMP's mission?
PSL is a program of PUMP that directly ties together PUMP's social networking and community development initiatives. The PSL strives to connect players in a social and dynamic atmosphere and encourages relationship building among all participants. When you play a PSL sport, you're having a great time while meeting new people, visiting new neighborhoods and supporting their amenities. It's these ties to other players and our communities that strengthen Pittsburgh and help make it the best city in which to live, work and play.
What else does PUMP do?
PUMP is not just the PSL. In addition to PSL sports, PUMP offers a growing number of member benefits and exciting social networking, civic engagement and community development programming. Through our work supporting young people in Pittsburgh, we listen to opinions, create dynamic programs, advocate for issues, educate citizens, and host unique events. Our members value the creation of community and we love to have a little fun. Click here to learn about these opportunities and join PUMP, today!
