APAHM Cook-Along: Building Power One Meal at a Time

June 5, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In honor of May’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM), join APALA Pittsburgh for a cook-along fundraising event! This will be the first in a two-part series of cook-along sessions, led by local Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) chefs.

This second session will be led by Teodora Gaite Schipper, chef and former president of the Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh (FAAP)! She will be showing us how to make Chicken Afritada!

Attendees MUST obtain tickets through Eventbrite. All proceeds from ticket sales will supplement a fund for direct relief for local AAPI workers and the Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh (FAAP). The events will also feature personal stories from AAPI restaurant workers in the Pittsburgh area, with the goal of celebrating the dedication, knowledge, and expertise of restaurant workers.

Tickets/donations HERE.

Share with your friends and use the #APALAcookalong21 to raise awareness and get the word out!

**When you register through Eventbrite, make sure to include an email you check often. You will be emailed the Zoom link, recipes, and a list of local grocery stores to shop for ingredients at!
