SUMMARY:PSL Service Project - A Volunteer Experience in South Side Park
DESCRIPTION:  \nRegister HERE!\n  \nAs a way to give back to Pittsburgh we will be holding a PSL Service Project! These projects are important because they allow us \nto give back to the communities that we play PSL games in. Our first Service Project in 2017 will take place in South Side Park! \n  \n The South Side is a fun and sprawling area that the PSL is privileged to spend time playing at in the summer season at multiple kickball fields. Teams love playing in the South Side and we want to show that love back to their Community. Late May is the perfect time to get volunteer there because it is just before our leagues begin to play there! \n  \nWhat to Expect:\n  \nWe will meet at the Bandi Schaum Community Garden at 5:30 on Tuesday May 30th. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes. We will have some water at the field\, but you may also want to bring your own. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt. \n  \nThe Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will be leading the project and giving us the instruction needed to help beautify the \nneighborhood. \n  \nBeer to Follow:\n  \nIn true PUMP fashion we will head to Local after volunteers for one complimentary Miller Lite or Blue Moon draft. This will be a \ngreat way to come together and reflect after getting dirty! \n  \nBonus:\n  \nThis event is listed with Pittsburgh Cares and the Pittsburgh Pirates. All registered attendees on their website will also receive credit towards a free ticket to see the Pittsburgh Pirates!

SUMMARY:Sideline Social: Education & Employment
DESCRIPTION:Education\, employment\, libation\, and trivia!\nCome bring the family or some friends and participate in our trivia night while learning about PUMP’s education and employment priorities through a few activities.  All PUMP members receive their first beer on us! \nWESA is providing the trivia questions\, and you can expect about an hour and a half of trivia fun starting at 7:30! The winning team takes home a $100 gift card to a Hometown Hot Spot Restaurant or a Bowling Party at Arsenal Lanes! Registration is free\, and there will be a table for interested individuals looking to make some new friends during trivia.  \nGoodbye\, Greenfield\nThrough 2017 and 2018 the City of Pittsburgh will be fixing the lights at one of the PSL’s favorite fields\, Magee. This Sideline Social will take place at Hough’s in Greenfield\, just a block from Magee\, as a celebration of the neighborhood and the field before having to say goodbye. We will have Magee field from 6-7 for a pick-up kickball game. After\, join us for a MillerCoors toast to Greenfield and we will also have a card to sign and send to the city to let them know how much we will miss Magee field.  \nMore about Sideline Socials\nCome to a Sideline Social to learn more about PUMP and what we\, as an organization\, are up to. Each social evening with us will be complete with opportunities to interact\, voice your opinion or just have a free beer and relax. There will always be optional games and activities and there will always be interactive questions about our priorities and strategy. With every visit you make to one of these events there is an opportunity to make Pittsburgh a better place and get connected to other events\, people\, and resources.    \nAll paying PUMP Members get their first 20oz Miller Lite or Blue Moon for free and other unique benefits like food specials\, free munchies\, or giveaways!  \n

SUMMARY:PSL Service Project: A Volunteer Experience in Mt. Washington!
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with the PSL!  \nOn Friday August 12th from 5:30-7:00 the PSL will be hosting a volunteer based service project in Dilworth Park\, of Mt. Washington. Registration for volunteering will open on Wednesday July 13th and all registrants will receive a PSL t-shirt and a PSL water-bottle. The goal of the service project will be to help the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy on field maintenance – weeding and fixing of tree cages\, picking up litter along the trail and removing invasive plants. This is a great way to give back to the communities we play in every day of the week! We are the primary users of Dilworth Field and\, as such\, we want to ensure it stays beautiful to play on for a long time to come!  \nWhat you need to know:\nPlease meet at the field at 5:20 on Friday August 12th ready to get dirty! There is street parking all around the field location.  \nVolunteers should wear long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes. We will have some water at the field\, but you may also want to bring your own! \nDirectly after the volunteer event all volunteers will conclude at Bigham Tavern for some complimentary appetizers and either one Miller Lite or Blue Moon draft.  \nRegister here to reserve your spot!
