DESCRIPTION:Join us LIVE IN PERSON as we kick off Black History Week at Venture Outdoors! We are highlighting Black owned and Black led organizations\, businesses\, and historic locations this week through wellness movements\, exercise and empowering conversations. Please register each participant individually so that we can keep an accurate count. \nBlack History Ride with Major Taylor is a LIVE IN PERSON cycling event involving a meetup at Everyday Cafe\, a black owned establishment in the Homewood/Larimer area. The group will ride approximately 8-10 miles\, learning about the Homewood/Larimer areas\, it’s black history\, and Major Taylor Cycling. \nBring your bike\, water\, and wear your mask. You will also be able to purchase food and water from local black owned establishments. Check the weather and dress appropriately. Expect a slow stroll to appreciate the highlighted businesses and locations. \nThe route will be mostly flat. Please register each participant individually so that we can keep the class under 20 participants for social distancing. \nZumba in the Park with Kemah is an outdoor\, thumping\, high energy class meant to get you grooving! Bring a towel\, a water bottle\, wear your mask and bring your kids as participants or to play on the nearby playground while you get your workout. It may be chilly\, but the movement will warm you right up! \nDonations can be made directly to Kemah on location in Mount Washington. SUMMARY:Jogging through History
DESCRIPTION:Join us LIVE IN PERSON as we kick off Black History Week at Venture Outdoors! We are highlighting Black owned and Black led organizations\, businesses\, and historic locations this week through wellness movements\, exercise and empowering conversations. Please register each participant individually so that we can keep the class under 20 participants for social distancing. \nJogging through History is a Venture Outdoors LIVE IN PERSON urban jog involving a meetup at Bigham House in Chatham Village. The Bigham House is believed to be a stop on the Underground Railroad. Bring a towel\, a water bottle\, and wear your mask. Pace and distance will be dictated by a faster group and a casually-paced NO DROP group. Expect to cover 2-5 miles for the faster group and 1.5-3 miles for the no drop group. This group will have the option to join the nearby Zumba in the Park class at the termination point. \nThe jogging route will include hills. The no drop group will take on the speed of the slowest jogger on all inclines. \nBring your kids as participants or to play on the nearby playground while you get your workout. It may be chilly\, but the movement will warm you right up! \nDonations can be made directly to Zumba in the Park on location in Mount Washington if you choose to join that class after your run. Your jog will terminate at the Zumba location and will still be within walking distance to your car\, if you decide to leave. \nMember price $5\, Non-Member price $8 \nREGISTER
