Katie Phillips joined PUMP in 2017 and now serves as the organization’s Advocacy + Public Policy Coordinator. Upon graduating from Bryn Mawr College in 2017 with a degree in English, she moved to Pittsburgh to complete a year of service at PUMP through the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE). During her undergraduate studies, she worked at the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, helping to connect diverse individuals with resources and support. She also worked on a PA state congressional campaign, organized voter registration drives, and advocated for labor rights on campus.
Katie believes in making politics more people-oriented so that every voice is empowered and every person is supported. She is committed to equity and passionate about helping people get engaged in their communities. Katie is grateful to be part of a team and network dedicated to making our region better for all.
