DESCRIPTION:South Side – Housing Opportunity Fund Community Feedback Meeting\nThe URA – Housing Opportunity Fund Department will be hosting a series of community meetings throughout the City of Pittsburgh regarding the Housing Opportunity Funds’ first year of operation. \nIn 2015-2016\, the City of Pittsburgh assembled an Affordable Housing Task Force to better understand the affordable housing needs across the City. The Task Force recommended the City establish a Housing Trust Fund which led to the creation of the Pittsburgh Housing Opportunity Fund. The City of Pittsburgh will receive $10 million per year for the next 12 years to address the affordable housing crisis. \nBecause of community feedback provided during the 2018 Allocation year\, the HOF Advisory Board was able to approve the following five programmatic areas: \n\nRental Gap Program\nHomeowner Assistance Program\nDown Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program\nHousing Stabilization Program\nFor-Sale Development Program\n\nShare your voice with the Housing Opportunity Fund at one of the upcoming meetings: \n\nRegister for the February 28 South Side community meeting here.\nFind upcoming community meetings here.
