SUMMARY:An Evening with FairVote's David Daley on Gerrymandering
DESCRIPTION:Join Public Source for a conversation on Gerrymandering with FairVote’s David Daley on April 11!\nGerrymandering is a major topic in Pennsylvania this year\, especially since the PA Supreme Court ruled that the former congressional maps were unconstitutionally gerrymandered and instituted new maps to be used in the May 2018 primary election. \nAttend this event with PublicSource to hear from David Daley\, a senior fellow for FairVote\, the author of “Ratf**ked: The True Story Behind the Secret Plan to Steal America’s Democracy\,” and a frequent lecturer and media source about gerrymandering. He is the former editor-in-chief of Salon.com\, and the former CEO and publisher of the Connecticut News Project. \nThis event is an opportunity to learn about what gerrymandering is\, why it’s a problem for our democracy\, and how redistricting can be better. Spread the word using PublicSource’s Facebook event. Discounted group tickets and individual scholarships available by emailing info@publicsource.org. \nLearn more about the event and purchase tickets here.
