DESCRIPTION:The City of Pittsburgh is hosting Deliberative Forums on the Capital Budget to provide a more robust way for residents to share ideas on 2017 budget priorities. At these forums\, neighbors will have a chance to learn about the budget and add community voices to the budgeting process as they engage with each other\, community leaders\, and city officials. Forums are open to every resident of Pittsburgh. \nTuesday\, June 21  6:00-8:30 PM  \nMarshall-Shadeland/Northside  \nLetter Carrier’s Union Hall \n841 California Ave\, 15212 \n  \nThursday\, June 23  6:00-8:30 PM \nLarimer/East Liberty\n \nKingsley Association\n \n6435 Frankstown Ave\, 15206\n \n\nEach session will include: \na brief overview of the budgeting process\, \nsmall-group discussions of budget priorities and residents’ needs \nan opportunity for residents to ask questions of an expert panel. \nAt the end of each forum\, residents will complete a survey–adding their ideas and opinions to the budgeting process. \nWe ask all participants to commit to the entire 2.5 hours of the forum. SUMMARY:PSL Indoor Wiffleball
DESCRIPTION:  \nOn January 18th we will be playing wiffleball at the Kinglsey Association\, an indoor gym in the East End. All registrations will be individual and registration can be made here!  \n  \nWhat to expect:\nA refereed wiffleball game from 7:00-8:30pm. All players will receive a PSL t-shirt. Teams will be randomly assigned and all registrations will be individual (you can email Jaime@pump.org if you want to be on the same team as a friend).  \nGame play will be based on our regular PSL softball rules with a few exceptions.  \n\nWe will provide the equipment (bases\, balls\, and bats). No gloves are needed!\nWe reserve the right to adjust the number of players on the field\, depending on participant registration. \nThere is no sliding. \nThis is co-ed\, however\, there will be no female minimums. We will play fairly with the interested participants who register; the goal is to have a fun and even-sided game\n\nWhat we expect from you:\nWe ask all players to sign the waiver and pay a $10 fee to cover facility and referee costs. Please bring a sportsmanlike attitude! Register here!  \n  \nPost-game Sideline Social:\nJoin us after your wiffleball game and come to the Upstairs Saloon in Lawrenceville for a free beer\, and good conversation that centers around getting to know PUMP and our strategic priorities better. DESCRIPTION:Central – Housing Opportunity Fund Community Feedback Meeting\nThe URA – Housing Opportunity Fund Department will be hosting a series of community meetings throughout the City of Pittsburgh regarding the Housing Opportunity Funds’ first year of operation. \nIn 2015-2016\, the City of Pittsburgh assembled an Affordable Housing Task Force to better understand the affordable housing needs across the City. The Task Force recommended the City establish a Housing Trust Fund which led to the creation of the Pittsburgh Housing Opportunity Fund. SUMMARY:Celebrating Neighborways Ride - Coral & Reynolds
DESCRIPTION:Join us in celebrating the Coral & Reynolds Neighborways with a bike ride! This ride will start at the Healthy Ride station at Frankstown Ave & E Liberty Blvd (Kingsley Association). We’ll roll through Larimer and Point Breeze to experience the Reynolds Neighborway and than pedal over to Bloomfield/Friendship to roll down the Coral Neighborway. We’ll end the ride at the end of the Coral Neighborway and those who are interested can join the Move Forward PGH team at Trace Brewing\, or you can continue your two wheeled journey solo. Along the ride\, you’ll get to roll with the Move Forward PGH team and learn more about the Bike(+) Plan and future projects that make streets safer for people using all modes of transportation including biking and walking. \nThis will be an all ages and abilities ride\, and no one will be left behind. This is not a race; this is a casual\, social roll down one of Pittsburgh’s newest pieces of street infrastructure. Neighborways are designed to be a low-stress street for people biking\, walking\, and rolling of all kinds so this will be a friendly\, no stress ride. \nBring Your Own Bike or bikes will be available to rent at the Healthy Ride station. Want to make sure we have a bike for you? DM our friends at Healthy Ride to reserve your ride. \nWant to celebrate\, but can’t ride with us? No worries! We’ll have sweet treats and conversation at the start location. We’ll kick off the ride at 5:15pm. \nSafety first! Please bring a mask\, and if you’re not fully vaccinated wear it. Respect people’s space with 6’ distance between you and other riders.
