SUMMARY:World Refugee Day
DESCRIPTION:The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. World Refugee Day will feature local refugee groups performing traditional musical and dance numbers\, cultural crafts\, and activities for kids. Traditional cuisine representing countries around the world\, including Nepal\, Syria\, Mexico and several other ethnicities will be available for purchase from local restaurants and vendors. There will also be a naturalization ceremony at noon celebrating the new citizenships of former refugees now living in the region. DESCRIPTION:World Refugee Day – Pittsburgh\nPittsburgh will hold its 8th annual celebration of World Refugee Day on June 21\, 2019 from 11 AM-2 PM in Market Square. \nThe event is open to the public and admission is free. There will be food and craft vendors\, music\, dance\, speakers\, and kid’s activities\, all representing diverse cultural backgrounds. \nWorld Refugee Day is held on June 20th every year to commemorate the strength\, courage\, and perseverance of millions of refugees and is a chance for the public to show support to the families and individuals that have been forced to flee their homes.
