Kickball for a Cause is an annual event that raises funds and awareness for nonprofit and charitable organizations in the Pittsburgh region that align with PUMP’s advocacy efforts.
Since 2002, we have raised more than $110,000 and involved close to 9,000 community members in a day filled with activities, fun for all, and of course, kickball! Last year, 32 teams, 576 participants, and over 50 volunteers teamed up to raise about $10,000 for Women and Girls Foundation and HEARTH.
Leading up to the tournament, we encourage people to nominate worthy non-profit organizations. After a vote and review process, two causes are selected to headline the annual event. Publicity and promotions leading up to the tournament, which happens in late summer/early fall, highlight the chosen causes, and funds raised by the teams competing in the tournament go to support the chosen causes.
