Each month we are going to take the time to get to know one of our PSL officials better. This is a great way to know the person who dedicates their free time to umpiring or refereeing your games.

Our February PSL Official of the Month is Rick aka Pav! Get to know Pav better and be sure to say hi to him at your next PSL game.

How long have you been officiating with the PSL? Almost 20 years.

Which sport(s) do you officiate? Basketball and Flag Football.

What is your favorite PSL officiating memory? Basketball is such a fun game to observe and officiate. There have been some very talented players in this league. You never forget the players.

What do you do for a living? Being a retired teacher I have some time to spend doing what I like to do.

Why did you decide to officiate with the PSL? A friend asked me a long time ago to help him out doing basketball at the Carrick rec center when the PSL was in that building and I’ve been doing it ever since.

Anything you’d like to share about yourself with the PSL community?  One of my hobbies is doing Sudoku. The whole PSL experience has been great.
