Wine is for Yinz, too!

October 18, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Learn How It’s made & How to Taste from a Pro

Believe it or not, wine can actually be relaxed, fun, and accessible!

Join PUMP on Sunday, October 18 at 7 PM for a fun 90-minute virtual class led by award-winning local sommelier and wine educator, Adam Knoerzer, of ‘Burghundy LLC.  Tickets for this unique experience are only $20 (per computer, tablet, or mobile device) and “seats” are limited. A portion of the proceeds will go to support PUMP’s civic engagement work.

Purchase tickets at https://www.pump.org/wine-is-for-yinz/.

Class Description

Adam will walk you through some wine fundamentals to help you better understand how the grape gets into your glass, as well as how to taste it like a professional. More specifically, you’ll get a window into grapes and grape-growing, winemaking, and you’ll learn how wine pros can look at, smell, and taste a glass of wine and have a good idea of what grape it is and how it was made.

You’ll practice those tasting techniques together in class as a group, and any wine you have on hand will work for the lesson — the information you learn here can be applied to any style of wine. So whether you like sparkling or still, dry or sweet, red, white, or rosé, come join in on the fun and learn along the way!
