Civil Rights Symposium – Hate Crime and Hate Speech

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh will hold a Civil Rights discussion on Hate Crime and Hate Speech on June 13 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM at Congregation Rodef Shalom.
Join the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and representatives from the United States Attorney’s Office, FBI, State Police, and the Pittsburgh Police to discuss Hate Speech and Hate Crime that occur here in Western Pennsylvania. They will discuss the laws that govern hate crimes and what to do when you encounter hate speech. They will also present actual Hate Crime cases that have been prosecuted in Pittsburgh.
The event is open to the entire community and is free of charge.
You are encouraged to bring your middle/high school aged children to participate and listen to Civil Rights experts.
