Ellevate Pittsburgh’s “Miss Representation” Screening – International Women’s Day Event

March 28, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Ellevate Pittsburgh on March 28 for a screening of Miss Representation (2011), a documentary directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom that focuses on how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. This screening will be part of Ellevate Network’s celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month. They will be doing chapter-wide screenings of Miss Representation.

The film led Newsom, the director, to found an organization called The Representation Project, which inspires individuals and communities to challenge and overcome limiting stereotypes so that everyone, regardless of gender, race, class, age, sexual orientation, or circumstance can fulfill their human potential.

Tickets for individuals who are not members of Ellevate Pittsburgh are $25.00, not including a $1.00 processing fee. Learn more about this event and purchase tickets here.
