Gender Equity Cocktails with a Conscience with Repair the World

December 12, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Gender Equity Cocktails with a Conscience

Join Repair the World Pittsburgh at The Gallery on Penn for a social evening focused on gender equity.

What is Gender Equity? Gender equity is the call for an equal access to resources and opportunities as well as the ability to have economic autonomy and agency in decision making, regardless of gender or race.

The event will highlight people who have historically been marginalized and barred entry to education, access to loans, and other basic human rights, such as voting, all based on gender through an instersectional lens.

A guest expert will be facilitating a poetry and journaling take-home reflection, too! All gender-identities, including but not limited to trans, gender-nonbinary, LGBTQIA+, cis-women, and cis-men are welcomed in this space.

There will be food and drinks. The space is ADA accessible. Please email Maya.Bornstein@werepair.org for any questions or requests around accommodations and accessibility!
