A sketch comedy telethon “that only lasts one hour.” In the Black Sketchathon is a show highlighting the very wide spectrum of the ‘Black Experience.’ It’s also a fundraising opportunity because it takes money to stay in the black. Arcade Comedy Theater is celebrating Black History Month with its newly updated mission statement in mind: inspiring joy and nurturing community-building by connecting artists and audiences with the dynamic artform of comedy. Starting February 4 and spanning the entire month, Arcade will be centering Black voices in comedy with a virtual staged reading series, a stand-up comedy roast, storytelling, improv and sketch shows.

All of the programming is available to stream for free on our website and YouTube channel, which is supported in part by the Arts Equity Reimagined Fund through PACE.
