March 5, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Open Field and the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh invite you to join in a conversation about sport for social impact in honor of International Women’s Day 2021. This timely discussion will feature panelists from around the world sharing their perspectives on the benefits to learning leadership skills through sport for girls in the Global South, specifically in Cameroon, Africa.

Over the course of an hour, you will hear about efforts to train coaches to create space for girls’ voice, why coaching the ‘whole player’ is essential for girls in sport, and how leadership skills learned on the field are essential to careers in the public sector. Registration in advance is required. Attendees are invited to share questions in advance by emailing contact@openfieldintl.org.
