Open Forum: Supporting LGBTQI Refugees

January 27, 2016 @ 12:00 am

Open Forum:
Supporting Our LGBTQI Refugee Community

Welcoming Pittsburgh is partnering with the LGBTI Caucus of the Refugee Congress to host a panel of LGBTQI and refugee experts to address issues facing LGBTQI refugees and asylum seekers.

Across the world, there are many who find themselves fleeing persecution due to their sexual orientation or gender identity and, once resettled, it is often hard for them to find resources and connect to the LGBTQI community.

Through this forum, we hope to identify services and createa dialogue between the provider network toincrease opportunity for any refugee or asylum seeker who identifies as LGBTQI in Pittsburgh.

You are invited to join us and be a part of the change.
