PA Senate State Government Committee Hearing on Senate Bill 22 (Anti-Gerrymandering Legislation)

April 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Second Senate State Government Committee Hearing on Senate Bill 22: April 24, 2018 in Harrisburg

This will be the second hearing on redistricting reform bills, including Senate Bill 22 (SB 22), the PUMP-endorsed legislation that would establish an independent citizens’ commission to redraw district lines. This bill aims to take the power to redistrict out of the hands of legislators and into the hands of the people.

The hearing will be held at the state capitol in Hearing Room 1, which provides plenty of room for observers. Fair Districts PA is encouraging supporters of SB 22 to attend the hearing and show their support for an independent citizens’ redistricting commission. See Fair Districts PA’s Facebook event for additional information and updates about the agenda. You can also view updates on Pennsylvania’s legislative site here.
