Paid Leave for PA Campaign Webinar

August 21, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Learn about the #PaidLeaveForPA Campaign from the Women & Girls Foundation

Women & Girls Foundation (WGF) is part of a statewide coalition working to establish a statewide program to provide paid family leave for all Pennsylvanians. Some people have to risk losing their job to stay home to care for a new child or family member in need or to treat their own serious health condition.

Workers in New York, New Jersey, California, Washington DC, Rhode Island, Washington State, and Massachusetts have the right to paid leave. The goal of the campaign is to work together to make it happen here in Pennsylvania. Register today for the August 21 1 PM-2 PM Webinar to find out how you can help make it happen.

Join Heather Arnet (CEO at Women and Girls Foundation), Marianne Bellesorte (Vice President of Advocacy at PathWays PA), and Stephen Herzenberg (Executive Director at Keystone Research Center) for a brief step-by-step explainer webinar! They will walk through the findings of a new report from the PA Department of Labor which makes the case for why a state Paid Family & Medical Leave Insurance Fund can provide an affordable and accessible paid leave solution to support workers, families, and businesses.

On the webinar, WGF will also discuss:

  • How will a paid family leave insurance fund work?
  • Who can it help?
  • How are paid sick days different from paid family leave?
  • How could this benefit help you, your family, and impact small businesses?

All of these questions (and more!) will be answered during this Paid Family & Medical Leave Webinar!

Register here.
