Pittsburgh Shorts and Script Competition
November 18, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 11:30 pm
$15.00
From November 18-21, the highly regarded Pittsburgh Shorts and Script Competition will showcase 11 blocks of short films including dramas, comedies, and “Chiller Theater” selections at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, with 6 additional film blocks available virtually.
The 121 films come from 27 countries with 45% directed by women and 39% by and about people of color (films from past festivals later went on to win Academy Awards!). In addition, there will be Q&As with cast and crew, a chance to vote for favorite films, and more. The festival also includes a script competition with live readings by professional actors and a conference for local and international filmmakers with workshops, panel discussions, and a keynote address by Academy Award-winning director, Barry Jenkins.
