Realistic Reentry – Convicted Citizens Leadership Development Group

Join the Formerly Convicted Citizens Leadership Development Group for a meeting on coalition building and realistic reentry for people with criminal convictions.  The event will include discussion of experiences and sharing of resources aimed to alleviate the collateral consequences of mass incarceration. Speakers will include Jason Lewis, Shannon Lowhorn, and Krishoun Davis.

The event will provide authentic assistance and the opportunity to join: Professionals, Authors, Entrepreneurs, University Faculty, and Convicted Felons who are demanding social equality for all. This event is an opportunity to discuss how to improve public housing policy for people with criminal convictions. There will also be a bonus community conversation about men’s health with the Allegheny County Health Department.

Time and location: the event will take place from 9 AM-12 PM on Saturday, 1/27/18, at the Homestead Grays Room on the Lower Level of the Human Services Building. When you enter the building, you will need to sign in at the front desk.

Parking: The entrance for the parking lot is on Fort Pitt Blvd. Heading west (towards the point) on Fort Pitt Blvd, you will pass over Smithfield Street and make the first right into the parking lot. To park, you must press the intercom button and tell the guard your name and that you are arriving for the Realistic Reentry meeting at 9 AM.
