Redistricting: Fixing the Bug in the Operating System of Democracy

February 14, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:20 pm

Carnegie Mellon University’s Students for Urban Data Systems is hosting an event on Wednesday, February 14, with the Committee of Seventy as part of the launch of the Draw the Lines PA contest. The Draw the Lines statewide competition connects people with digital tools to draw their own voting districts for Pennsylvania to combat gerrymandering.

The event will take place at Hamburg Hall Basement Room A301 from 12 PM-1:20 PM. Lunch will be provided. RSVP here.

Working together, citizens can create a process that produces better maps and a renewed sense of civic engagement among Pennsylvanians through the Draw the Lines competition. Winners will receive cash prizes. Attend this event to learn more.
