ReuseFest 2018 – Pennsylvania Resources Council

Celebrate Earth Day at ReuseFest 2018!

The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will be celebrating Earth Day Weekend by providing an opportunity for people to drop off numerous types of items for reuse by local nonprofit organizations.

While at the festivities, enjoy food trucks pop-up shops, children’s craft projects, giveaways, and much more through the Reuse Marketplace.

Please bring the following materials to be donated to the following nonprofits:

  • Art/craft supplies and vintage items to benefit Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse
  • Animal Accessories to benefit Humane Animal Rescue
  • Biking supplies to benefit Free Ride Pittsburgh
  • Business casual shoes, Jewelry, Purses to benefit Dress for Success Pittsburgh
  • Furniture/bedding items to benefit Off the Floor Pgh
  • General household/kitchen items to benefit Free Store Wilkinsburg, Catholic Charities, and Goodwill of Southwestern PA
  • Medical supplies to benefit Global Links and Brother’s Brother Foundation
  • Outdoor equipment and apparel to benefit PRC through 3 Rivers Outdoor Co.
  • Skateboarding supplies to benefit Trash to Thrash
  • Usable building materials for Construction Junction

This event will kick off a series of events throughout the spring, summer, and fall, hosted by PRC to collect and properly dispose of household chemicals and hard-to-recycle materials. View the full schedule of collection events here.
