SETpoint Self-Defense and Empowerment Training for PUMP Members

PUMP is proud to partner with SETpoint for Self-Defense and Empowerment Training!

You have two options to see what best  fits your needs and schedule. These sessions are gender-inclusive and are recommended for ages 16 and up. Class size is limited to 20 participants. Financial assistance is available for those who may need it.

 

Level One Only: Friday August 3, 2018 (6:00-8:00 pm)

Wilkins School Community Center

SETpoint Level 1 training combines the physical restistance skills of traditional self-defense with confidence-building empowerment training. This high-energy session will focus on Situational Awareness; Boundary Setting & De-Escalation Tactics; and Physical Self Defense Choices and Skills (including What’s in you backpack and bag?). Level One and Two: Friday August 3, 2018 (6:00-8:00 pm) & Saturday August 4, 2018 (2:00-5:00 pm)

Wilkins School Community Center

This special two-session event combines self-defense and empowerment training to build confidence. In addition to what is listed above with session one, this session also provides advanced training and practice including basic strikes and kicks, releases from grabs and holds, and using everyday items you may carry with you as tools in self-defense; and Survivor Advocacy and Follow Up. The sessions are hands-on, with significant practice time through drills and simulations. Learn more and register with special PUMP pricing here.
