Wilkinsburg: Port Authority Public Meeting on Updated Bus Rapid Transit Plan
May 1, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Wilkinsburg Public Meeting on Proposed Bus Rapid Transit Service
The Port Authority is hosting a series of public meetings in the next couple of months to present their updated plans for its proposed Bus Rapid Transit service and get community feedback.
The meetings will be addressing concerns from riders and state legislators, as the original proposal included the potential elimination of nonstop bus service between the Mon Valley and Downtown Pittsburgh. Port Authority CEO Katharine Kelleman said that the Port Authority is looking to “re-initiate the process,” to ensure that community needs are heard and met by the BRT project.
The Wilkinsburg meeting will take place at 6 PM on May 1 at Hosanna House in the Small Conference Room (2nd Floor).
Who: Riders of the 61A, 71C, 71D, and P3 routes, residents of Homewood, Wilkinsburg, and Point Breeze, and riders of the 61 and 71 series routes who cannot attend a meeting closer to their neighborhood.
