The Steel City World Cup and Global Festival celebrates Pittsburgh’s vibrant and global community, as expressed through soccer–the Beautiful Game.

Each year, PUMP and our collaborative partners host a soccer tournament for the global community with teams representing countries from around the world. The competition takes place over several weeks and culminates with a championship game at Highmark Stadium that celebrates all the participants, teams, and countries involved.

The goals of the Steel City World Cup are to:
  • Celebrate global cultures, diversity, and inclusion by hosting a fun, safe, and welcoming World Cup-style soccer tournament
  • Build relationships among individuals and organizations representing the Pittsburgh region’s vibrant and growing world community and long-time southwestern Pennsylvanians
  • Facilitate cross-cultural understanding and bridge building that leads to opportunities and resources

Save the Date!

The Steel City World Cup returns on June 22-23 with over 60 group and elimination games at the Riverhounds Coraopolis outdoor facility.

The Championship Match will be held on June 29th following the Riverhounds game at Highmark Stadium.  Stay tuned for a brand new event website launch in April!
