The Steel City World Cup and Global Festival celebrates Pittsburgh’s vibrant and global community, as expressed through soccer–the Beautiful Game.

Each year, we hold a soccer tournament with teams representing countries from around the world. The competition, which takes place over several weeks, culminates with the championship game and a global festival at Highmark Stadium that celebrates all the teams and countries involved.

The Steel City World Cup and Global Festival aims to:
  • Celebrate global culture, country, ethnicity, and diversity by hosting a fun and safe World Cup-style soccer tournament and global festival
  • Build relationships among individuals and organizations representing the Pittsburgh region’s vibrant and growing world community and long-time southwestern Pennsylvanians
  • Facilitate cross-cultural understanding and connections that lead to opportunities and resources

A portion of the net proceeds from the main event are donated to Pittsburgh Soccer in the Community (PSC) to continue global soccer opportunities throughout the year. PSC is a local nonprofit dedicated to creating positive social impact in and around Pittsburgh through the game of soccer.
