March is Women’s History Month, an opportunity to learn about women’s history, celebrate progress, and continue working towards gender equity. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge how women’s intersectional identities shape their experience of gender inequity in Pittsburgh and beyond, as sexism is compounded by racism, anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination, ableism, ageism, and other forms of discrimination.
Here in Pittsburgh, there are many events, resources, and more to help you learn about, discuss, and celebrate women’s history, along with countless organizations that work to serve and empower women. We hope you will find opportunities that speak to you in March and throughout the year.
