Slay the Gerrymander: Bar Games for Democracy

July 20, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Slay the Gerrymander: Bar Games for Democracy

Let’s talk gerrymandering. Join the Heinz History Center and Draw the Lines PA for bar games, food, drinks, and conversation about this serious issue facing civic engagement in Pennsylvania.

Bring an open mind, and they’ll bring drinks, snacks, contests that bring humor and fun to this important topic, and prizes for winners!

Draw your voting map and share it with your legislator, attempt to put together the infamous gerrymandered Pennsylvania puzzle, test drive Draw the Lines’ new “District Builder” software, and have timely conversations with civically-engaged pals.

Admission is $10 per person and includes a complimentary drink ticket and free pass for a future visit to the History Center. All proceeds benefit the Heinz History Center and Draw the Lines PA.

Learn more and register here.

Interested in volunteering? Email rcolker@drawthelinespa.org. Volunteers should arrive by 5:45 PM and stay until 8:15 PM. They will help with the various “bar games” activities. Volunteers can attend for free!
