2021 Western PA Juneteenth & Black Music Festival

Description:   Juneteenth is the celebration of the end of chattel slavery and was first started in Texas in 1865 when the last enslaved people learned that the Civil War was over and that the Union had won the war.

Juneteenth is celebrated in 50 States across America and is the Country’s second Independence Day, Our Festival started in 2013 and this year marks the first Pittsburgh and Allegheny County legal holiday in this region.

Juneteenth Celebration involves Africa American Culture Education, Live Music, Vendors, Speakers, and more

Date of Events:  June 18-June 20

Daily Start Time: 11am and End Time: 9pm


11am-1pm, Main Stage: Juneteenth Consecration Service and Sankofa Dance & Drum Team

2p Main Stage: Dr. Jay and Pittsburgh Jazz All-Stars

4p, Main Stage: Bill Henry Band

6p, Main Stage: Raheem Devaughn

7:30p, Main Stage: The Ohio Players

11am to 1pm, Main Stage: DJ Set

1p, Main Stage: Soul Raydio Band

2p, Main Stage: Dr. Jaki Young & JWI Sextet

1pm, Main Stage: Motor City Revue- Sounds of Motown (Four Tops, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, Temptations, SUPREMES, Smokey Robinson and the  Miracles, and Mary Wells)

4pm, Main Stage: WHO’S BAD- Michael Jackson Tribute Band

6p, Main Stage: NEW CUPID Shuffle
