3rd Annual Summit: Deconstructing the American Dream

November 16 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This year’s Summit will be held on November 16, 2022, 9AM–3PM at the William Pitt Union, University of Pittsburgh. We will explore the theme of the American Dream through the lens of immigrants.

In this past year, Pittsburgh has experienced an increase in refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and other countries; outside of Pittsburgh, climate-related displacement caused by disasters like recent floods in Pakistan contribute to a global refugee crisis. We will explore how this relevant issue impacts our daily lives through interactive sessions with subject matter experts, global performances, and time for open conversation.

By amplifying leading voices in the refugee inclusion space, we expect to educate attendees on current data and trends, while also sparking an inward look at our own assumptions, values, and patterns in order to support meaningful local action.

Registration will open on Friday, September 23! Keep an eye on our website to
