PSL Service Project – A Volunteer Experience in South Side Park
May 30, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Register HERE!
As a way to give back to Pittsburgh we will be holding a PSL Service Project! These projects are important because they allow us
to give back to the communities that we play PSL games in. Our first Service Project in 2017 will take place in South Side Park!
The South Side is a fun and sprawling area that the PSL is privileged to spend time playing at in the summer season at multiple kickball fields. Teams love playing in the South Side and we want to show that love back to their Community. Late May is the perfect time to get volunteer there because it is just before our leagues begin to play there!
What to Expect:
We will meet at the Bandi Schaum Community Garden at 5:30 on Tuesday May 30th. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes. We will have some water at the field, but you may also want to bring your own. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt.
The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will be leading the project and giving us the instruction needed to help beautify the
neighborhood.
Beer to Follow:
In true PUMP fashion we will head to Local after volunteers for one complimentary Miller Lite or Blue Moon draft. This will be a
great way to come together and reflect after getting dirty!
Bonus:
This event is listed with Pittsburgh Cares and the Pittsburgh Pirates. All registered attendees on their website will also receive credit towards a free ticket to see the Pittsburgh Pirates!
