Society Science Lecture Series (Virtual): Redistricting in Pennsylvania – The 2020’s

Pennsylvania draws new congressional districts every 10 years based on US Census Data. Learn about the redistricting process, gerrymandering, and how communities of interest can be grouped together in a district.

About John J. Kennedy, PhD:
Political analyst and author Dr. John J. Kennedy, who also served as an expert witness during the congressional redistricting case and gerrymandering trial, is a widely sought expert commentator on presidential elections and statewide elections in Pennsylvania. He also served on Governor Wolf’s Redistricting Advisory Council. He has been a frequent contributor to various news organizations regionally and nationally, including ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, the Business Insider, Al-Jazeera America, and other media outlets. An expert on presidential election voting behavior and public opinion, Kennedy directed numerous voter polls during previous presidential elections through a collaboration between WHYY and the University’s Center for Social and Economic Research.
