Voting Access Event

February 22, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Repair the World Pittsburgh, Bend the Arc Pittsburgh, the Black Political Empowerment Project, and the Jewish Community Center’s Center for Loving Kindness and Civic Engagement for an evening of learning and taking action to improve voter access.

Jason Kander, President and founder of the organization Let America Vote, will video-call in to speak about how extreme voter suppression laws are disproportionately disenfranchising Americans based on their race, ethnicity, gender, age, or income. Local organizations will then provide action steps for improving voter access here in Pittsburgh.

See the Facebook event for more details. Register here for this free event.

Afterwards, from 7 PM-9 PM, there will be a Candidate Forum featuring candidates running for District 8 City Council Special Election.
