Each month we are going to take the time to get to know one of our PSL officials better. This is a great way to know the person who dedicates their free time to umpiring or refereeing your games.

Our March PSL Official of the Month is Kaitlyn! Get to know Kaitlyn better and be sure to say hi to her at your next PSL game.

How long have you been officiating with the PSL? I have been refereeing for PSL since Sept, 2015.

Which sport(s) do you officiate? I referee Volleyball and Sand Volleyball

What is your favorite PSL officiating memory? The Sand Volleyball Tournament is always a great time every year! I really look forward to that day! I also have really enjoyed getting to know the regular teams over the years and feel like I have semi-friends in these people that I see once a week even if we don’t actually hangout or know each other outside of volleyball.

What do you do for a living? I work in Logistics

Why did you decide to officiate with the PSL? I started to officiate because when I moved here a few years ago I wanted to play volleyball but didn’t know anyone so I started officiating at first to get to know people and make some extra money.

Anything you’d like to share about yourself with the PSL community? I’m always looking to play other sports when I’m not refereeing so if you need a player let me know! In High School played Basketball, Volleyball and Softball. I’m into video games, board games and pretty much anything that can be a game! Also remember – Sports are for fun and exercise! Don’t forget that when you get into the heat of the moment! We are all out there to have fun, don’t take this too seriously, mistakes are made and being mean to anyone isn’t the answer!
