Each month we are going to take the time to get to know one of our PSL officials better. This is a great way to know the person who dedicates their free time to umpiring or refereeing your games.

Our November PSL Official of the Month is Doug! Get to know Doug better and be sure to say hi to him at your next PSL game.

How long have you been officiating with the PSL? 17 Years!!!

Which sport(s) do you officiate? Tennis

What is your favorite PSL officiating memory? Teaching a young lady to toss and serve with the same hand, and her excitement!

What do you do for a living? Teach and coach Tennis. Travel and Golf.

Why did you decide to officiate with the PSL? It presented a great opportunity to teach a sport that will last a lifetime!

Anything you’d like to share about yourself with the PSL community?  I spent three terms on the USTA/Middle States board as Vice President and secured multicultural funding for inner city tennis programs. Also helped start and direct the Bob O’Connor Summer Tennis Classic for 10 year.
