Today, we celebrated the petition signing launch for Our kids. Our commitment. with families, kids, community members, partner organizations and more at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.
Lots of people came out to today’s kick-off event to sign the petition and enjoy some family fun! WISH 99.7’s Street Treat Patrol provided fun music and yummy treats, the Children’s Museum offered discounted admission, and Kidsburgh, United Way SWPA, Trying Together, and the Museum all led cool activities for kids. There was also a satellite event at the Mall at Robinson – and there will be many more events over the next few weeks.

Our kids. Our commitment. is a campaign that will revolutionize the way we invest in kids here in Allegheny County. Using the grassroots, community-driven ballot referendum process, we are working to establish the Allegheny County Children’s Fund to support early learning, after school programs, and nutritious meals for kids throughout the county.
We have from June 19-August 7 to collect over 40,000 signatures of registered Allegheny County voters in order to get the Allegheny County Children’s Fund on the ballot in the November 6 election.
Lots of people stepped up to sign the petition today, but we’ve still got a long way to go to get to 40,000. We can’t do it without your help.
