PUMP staff and board members joined the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh in the Stand Against Racism on Friday, April 26. Over 200 participants spent at least one hour each holding signs stating “I Stand Against Racism” while literally standing in a human chain against racism surrounding the YWCA’s headquarters on Wood Street.
CCAC’s Allegheny Campus on the North Side held its own rally in support of the YWCA USA Stand Against Racism with over 50 attendees (students, government agencies, nonprofits) spoke out against racism.
The New Pittsburgh Courier published a great article covering the day’s activities.
