PSL Power Hour Litter Clean Up at Fowler Field

May 23, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

The PSL has a new kind of service project for you! Join us to volunteer for just one hour and make a big impact in a short time by cleaning up litter! We still want to make an impact on the communities we play PSL games in, and this way it is closer to home since we will be focusing on litter clean-ups near our fields.

For our first project we will be heading to the wooded area that surrounds Fowler Field, currently the home of PSL Sunday Flag Football. Fowler is located in the Perry North neighborhood of the North Side and has been home to PSL flag football, ultimate frisbee and kickball in the past.

Where: Fowler Field

When: Sunday May 23, 9:00-10:00 am. Meet between 8:45 and 9:00 am near the entrance to Fowler Field on Charles Avenue in front of the fence. PSL staff will be wearing a PSL Official shirt and will be there to greet you.

Who: Anyone who wants to make a big impact in a small amount of time (18+)! We recommend wearing pants, closed toed shoes and to bring water. You are welcome to bring gloves if you have your own. We ask all volunteers to adhere to our PSL Outdoor Guidelines for safe sports.

Details: We will provide garbage bags, recycling bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, encouragement and direction. We will connect on the project and get everyone set for power-hour clean-up before getting to work!

Have an Extra Hour? PSL flag football has games at Fowler Field on Sundays at 9 am, 10 am, and 11 am so try to stick around and catch some action after volunteering!
