Creating Healthy Communities: Get the Lead Out

Women for a Healthy Environment is hosting Creating Healthy Communities: Get the Lead Out on May 10, 2018.

This one-day conference will be focused on the issue of lead. Lead is a neurotoxin, and scientists have determined that no amount of lead exposure should considered safe. The healthy communities conference will seek to identify ways that communities can work together to address the hazard of lead in homes, schools, and early learning centers. The day-long event will feature national experts on the issue and interactive working groups, which will be solutions-oriented.

Keynote speakers:

  • Bruce Lanphear, M.PH, M.D. Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences, Simon Frasier University
  • Karen Weaver, Mayor of Flint, Michigan

This conference will be an opportunity to listen, learn, and make your voice heard.
